Once again SSOMA participated in Beat the Crap out of Cancer held in Toronto, Ontario on Nov 8, 2014. This is a yearly contact weapons fighting event organized by Rene Cocolo & Tyler Morin from the Toro Clan in Toronto, Ontario. The purpose of the event is to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society as well as promote camaraderie throughout the martial art community. This year was a huge success once again with fighters from Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, Massachusetts and New Mexico coming out to show their support. The energy was amazing as usually with everybody fighting hard and pushing each other throughout the day. This year’s event raised over $11,000 for Cancer research.
